The Epwin Group has introduced a recycled composite material to replace steel and aluminium reinforcement in its PVCu window and door ranges.
The material is made from old, first generation, post-consumer PVCu windows, and according to Epwin is the only product of its type to secure approval in the guide to recycled content in construction products produced by anti-waste body Wrap. The Epwin Group has also introduced recycled content across its window, door, cavity closer, cladding and rainwater ranges. The firm says it has the capacity to recycle not only factory off cuts, but “old” first generation PVCu windows and doors that have reached the end of their life.
