Paul Aubrey left the bank two weeks ago to 'pursue other real estate investment opportunities'
Paul Aubrey, the man who headed up RBS’ distressed land asset vehicle West Register, has left the bank
According to an RBS spokesman, he left two weeks ago “to pursue other real estate investment opportunities” after 27 years with the bank, which is 84% owned by the taxpayer.
So far there has been no news of a replacement to head up the vehicle, which was set up in August 2008.
West Register contains land assets that are being held by the bank until the market improves and includes assets that belonged to collapsed housebuilder Oakdene.
It also includes the Richmond Centre shopping centre in Londonderry that was sold to West Register for £24m earlier this month by administrator Ernst & Young.
