Tim Byles hails opening of 13 new or refurbished schools this month as contributing to 'changing the face of education'
Thirteen schools across the country will open this month in new or refurbished buildings under the Building Schools for the Future and academies investment programmes.
The openings will bring the total of pupils benefiting from the schemes to 125,000 from 146 schools in England.
The £55bn BSF initiative, the largest capital investment programme for 50 years, is currently involved with a third of all secondary schools in 96 local authorities.
Tim Byles, chief executive of Partnerships for Schools (PfS), said: “BSF is now changing the face of education up and down the country for well over 100,000 pupils and thousands of teachers.
"Schools are once again sitting at the heart of the communities they serve and reaching out to local people.”
