Prashant Kapoor moves to engineering group to head sustainable planning and research team
The head of sustainability at consulting engineer Price & Myers has moved to rival engineering group WSP.
Prashant Kapoor joined WSP last month as head of a team dedicated to sustainable planning and design. Kapoor, who was at Price & Myers for three and a half years, said his 30-strong team would be looking at sustainability at a “macro level”. “We are looking at initial planning to working designs, very much at the front-end,” he said.
Schemes his team is working on include the new Zero Carbon city planned for Abu Dhabi and a new project in Jordan. Kapoor said he was keen to be involved in UK projects and to work on research both with academic institutions and with corporate clients.
Prior to joining Price & Myers Kapoor also worked at the BRE, where he developed a life-cycle assessment tool for embodied energy of products, and Battle McCarthy.
