The latest images of the Olympic stadium reveal brightly coloured pods and surfaces patterned with jagged shapes

Colourful pods will be a major feature on the site of the London Olympic stadium.

Images contained in a planning application by HOK Sport and Buro Happold reveal a profusion of curvy buildings outside the entrances and a mosaic of colour on the stadium walls.

Construction started on the stadium last week, three months ahead of schedule.
