Chartered surveyor takes over from Ted Hartill in a role that dates back to 1478
The City of London Corporation has appointed Peter Bennett to the role of City Surveyor.

The job of City Surveyor dates back to 1478 but in its modern incarnation the jobholder manages and coordinates all activity relating to commercial property and construction owned by the City of London. He also has responsibility for the City of London’s operational property such as The Guildhall and Mansion House.
