Persimmon and McCarthy & Stone to shut construction sites

McCarthy & Stone offers unoccupied apartments to NHS workers and covid-19 recoverees

Persimmon has followed the lead of Barratt and Taylor Wimpey, with the top five housebuilder confirming it will shutdown its sites.

The firm has said all of Persimmon’s sales offices will be closed from tomorrow until further notice and that the process of shutting sites had begun.
