Employment was due to end in December but has been extended by a year
Paul Morrell has been reappointed as the government’s chief construction advisor.
Morrell’s tenure was due to come to an end in December having been appointed in 2009 for a fixed period of two years, but his employment has now been extended by a further year.
Business minister Mark Prisk said: “I’m very pleased that Paul has agreed to be re-appointed as the government’s chief construction adviser. He has made significant progress championing a more coordinated approach to affordable, sustainable construction both within industry and government.”
He will continue to oversee the Government Construction Board and the Green Construction Board.
Morrell said: “I am really glad to have the opportunity of getting some of the plans that have been formulated over the last two years along the road to implementation.”
