Oxford university has shortlisted Bennetts Associates, David Chipperfield, Kohn Pedersen Fox and Wilkinson Eyre for two academic buildings worth £150m.
The four have been shortlisted for the first phase of a humanities centre worth £75m, and it is understood that the winner will likely go on to design a second phases of roughly the same value.
The buildings will form part of Rafael Viñoly’s masterplan for the former Radcliffe Infirmary site, which covers 10.5 acres to the north of the city centre.
Wilkinson Eyre is already working on plans to redevelop the New Bodleian Library, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, at the university.
