External wall insulation and render systems from Alumasc have been used to bring housing in Doncaster up the government’s decent homes standard

Bramall Construction, in partnership with contractors SLK and St Leger Homes, refurbished more than 450 properties using 1,200m2 of Swisslab insulated render, which was supplied by Alumasc. A 50mm phenolic high-density insulation panel was applied to achieve a U-value of 0.35W/m2K.

To provide relief from the monotonous colours previously used on the estate, the homes were finished with a combination of render and brick.
