Construction output made a recovery in the third quarter of the year, suggesting that the decline experienced in the second quarter was a blip rather than the start of a downward trend.
The Construction Confederation, which produces the quarterly Construction Trends Survey, says it is now optimistic about the industry's prospects over the next 12 months.
Up to 15% of contractors reported higher output in the third quarter compared with the same period last year; 53% of companies are working at near-full or full capacity.
