Online database promotes partnering in North-west

The Construction Youth Trust has launched an employer-led online database aiming to promote partnering, knowledge sharing and strategic planning across the North-west.

The project, launched today, will also show individuals entering and progressing in the industry how to access support in order to achieve construction ambitions.

The free-access website, Construction Mapping, is being piloted in the North-west, but if successful it is hoped that it will be rolled out across the rest of the UK.

Jo Lynch, deputy head of construction at Manchester College, said: “This is a much-needed resource both for the employer and the individual, enabling us as at college to see where the gaps are, and for our students to find routes into work.”
