Lancs firm teams with local expert in Sultanate
Consultancy, Driver Consult, has opened an Oman office in partnership with a local engineering firm.
The Lancashire-based company has teamed up with a former Ministry of Transport engineer, Khamis al-Souli, to create Driver Consult Oman LLP.
Group chief executive, Steve Driver, said: “Establishing a permanent office in the Sultanate will enable the company to better service the ever-expanding engineering and contracting services sector.”
The organisation’s mission in the region is to cut costs by preventing disputes from reaching the courts, he said. “We are able to represent our clients at any legally recognised system of dispute resolution hearing through a network of local and global employees.”
Engineer, Khamis al-Souli said: “We believe that the presence of such firms will have a positive impact on both the technical and contractual aspects of projects’ execution and delivery.”
The launch in the Intercontinental Muscat marked the opening of the firms 13th office worldwide. The company has worked on Dubai Waterfront and the London Olympics 2012 and is involved in project management, programming and quantity surveying services.
