Office of Fair Trading says its decision over the £558m bid will not be until mid-October

A decision by the Office of Fair Trading on Travis Perkins bid to buy plumbing and heating firm BSS Group has been delayed until mid October.

Builders Merchant Travis Perkin made a £558m bid for BSS Group back in July however, the OFT says that the expected decision date for the proposed acquisition has been extended to 19th October.

Travis Perkins and BSS will update the market in due course.
