Contract for building northern section of Olympic Park goes out to tender
The Olympic Delivery Authority has put the construction of the northern section of the Olympic Park out to tender.
Works will include the building of the temporary Olympic Concourse linking the venues and entrances, as well as pathways, parklands, waterways and allotments.
The landscape contractor will be expected to prepare over 40 hectares of land for the Games, and begin its conversion for post-Games legacy use.
The ODA said the second contract, for the south of the park, would be issued in 2008.
