But firm returns to the black after 2014 full-year results
North Midland has posted a 63% drop in pre-tax profit in the first half of 2015.
The listed contractor posted pre-tax profit of £136m, down from £371m for the first half of 2014.
But the performance represented an improvement on its last reporting period, the 2014 full financial year, when the firm made a £2.9m loss.
Half-year revenue was up 18% to £107.3m, up from £91m the previous year.
