Courses on the Code for Sustainable Homes courses will be aimed at developers and builders
The NHBC has announced a series of courses on the new Code for Sustainable Homes.
The NHBC says it will give practical guidance and advice to those having to adapt to the Code, which must be followed for homes built with funding from the Housing Corporation or built on English Partnerships land.
The course will focus on how the new national assessment standard can be achieved and how it compares to the existing EcoHomes rating system.
NHBC spokesperson Rob Lockley said: “It is an essential requirement that those who design and specify new and renovated homes adopt simple, cost-effective measures from the outset in order to achieve the highest possible ratings.”
Workshops take place in June and July in Milton Keynes, Reading, Bristol, Cambridge, Birmingham, Warrington, York and Dartford.
