Plan for new Regal Tower launches at Mipim
The plan for a £125m skyscraper in Birmingham designed by Aedas has been launched at the Mipim property fair in Cannes.

The Regal Tower will be a mixed-use development next to Brindleyplace in Birmingham City Centre, with a hotel, apartments and a “sky bar” on the top floor.

Roger Holbeche, managing director of Regal Property Group, said that a planning application would be submitted in May. He added the scheme would contribute £125m of new investment at a time when the economy is experiencing a recession.

Work onsite is expected to start in early 2010 with the three-year build programme complete in 2013.
