New Aecom transport boss named

The former boss of Heathrow Express has been recruited to head Aecom’s transport business in Europe.

The firm announced today that Richard Robinson has been made the new managing director for the division.

Robinson joins from BAA where he was managing director of Heathrow Express and a director on the Heathrow Airport executive team. 

Robinson, who will be based in London, started in his new role at the beginning of the year. He said: “Aecom’s clear focus on growth and its drive to become the dominant player in the markets in which it operates makes it a company with exciting prospects ahead.

“I believe that for a service business to prosper it must work relentlessly to understand and delight its customers, and I am looking forward to working with the European transportation team to deliver existing growth strategies and develop new ones.”
