Steve Briggs explains the methodology behind this steel erection at a new Tobago hotel.

"The guy sitting on the beam was fixing one end while it dangled from the Hiab crane. He then walked along the beam and, while the ground crew shoved the column upright, he would sit on the beam directing the Hiab driver to raise or lower until the boltholes aligned. He would then bolt it up. All tools and materials were tossed up to him by the ground crew and his method of access to the higher levels was just to shin up the columns."
