Kirkstone, the specialist in natural Cumbrian slate and architectural stone, has worked with artist Susanna Heron to provide its Brathay Blue Black slate for an 80m walkway at City Inn’s flagship hotel in Westminster.

Brathay slate is suitable for a host of applications, from interior flooring and cladding through to exterior landscaping and facades, and has a fine gold thread of iron oxide which suited this project.

Kirkstone worked alongside Susanna and architect Bennetts Associates to fabricate the distinctive and unusual Brathay Blue Black cladding panels.
