Mountfield Group, the Essex data centre specialist, has posted a turnover of £17.4m in its first set of results since floating on the alternative investment market in November
It made pre-tax profit of £1.36m in the year to 31 December 2008 and ended with £2m cash.
Graham Read, its chief executive, said: “The data centre market is expected to increase in space by almost 45% by 2010 and Mountfield is ideally placed to benefit from this growth.”
He said expansion was driven by banks and retailers setting up their own facilities to reduce costs rather than outsource them to telecoms companies.
Mountfield Group consists of three arms: contractor Mountfield Building Group, data centre flooring specialist Connaught Access Flooring, and developer Mountfield Land.
