Investment arm lands South Northamptonshire Council work
Morgan Sindall Group’s investment division has been appointed preferred developer for the £38m Towcester Regeneration and Civic Accommodation Project in Northamptonshire.
It will see the construction of 3,800 sq metres of new civic offices for South Northamptonshire Council, funded by a residential development by Lovell Partnerships and Clayson Country Homes, a commercial development to be built by Morgan Sindall, and the conversion of a listed mill building for commercial use.
Company chief executive Paul Smith said the project was an exciting and ambitious one.
“Its scale and complexity plays to the skill set of the group’s companies, and we look forward to delivering this regeneration project for the people of Towcester,” he said.
Morgan Sindall said the commercial development it would build included a supermarket, a small retail outlet, industrial units and offices.
It added that archaeological works on site would also be undertaken, as well as the building of new link road.
