Targets “extended range” of property-support and facilities management services
Morgan Sindall has launched a new property services division to expand the group’s response-maintenance business, formerly named Lovell Repairs.
It will be headed by managing director Gary Lester (pictured), who joined the firm in 2014 from Mears Group, where he was chief operating officer of the company’s specialist services business.
Morgan Sindall said its property services division would deliver the full range of planned and responsive maintenance services to housing associations and local authorities.
Lester said the launch had been backed by a “major investment” in business systems, including a new IT platform.
“Our aim is to deliver services which set a new standard for the sector,” he said.
“As Morgan Sindall Property Services, we can offer customers a flexible and responsive personal service delivered locally, backed by the strength of leading construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall Group.
“Over the past six months, there has already been significant investment.
“The rebrand continues that work as well as bringing considerable opportunities for business development.”
The division’s current major contracts included a £32.8 million deal with Solutions 4 North Tyneside; a £30 million facilities management PFI contract with Leeds Independent Living Company; and a £23 million 25-year housing PFI partnership to regenerate and manage housing stock in Grove Village, Manchester.
