Morgan Sindall has been signed up to build a new £23m waste management and recycling centre in Suffolk.

The planned West Suffolk Operational Hub (pictured), located near Bury St Edmunds, will feature a waste transfer station, a split level household waste recycling centre, a vehicle depot and a re-use shop facility.

Building work is due to start later this summer.

Suffolk county council, Forest Heath district council and St Edmundsbury borough council are all involved in the project and will use the site to provide waste collection and disposal facilities.

Morgan Sindall is also working in nearby Lowestoft on the new headquarters for UK marine science agency, the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science.
