Peter Jacobs to spearhead firm’s London expansion
Bovis Lend Lease’s former delivery boss Peter Jacobs has been hired by Morgan Sindall to spearhead its expansion in London.
Jacobs will take on a regional managing director role for the firm and aims to grow its contracting business by drawing upon his experience of working for major clients like Stanhope and Land Securities.
Jacobs spent 24 years at Bovis Lend Lease, where he was a director for ten years.
In one of his most recent high profile projects he headed up the team behind the £1.4bn athletics village.
Jacobs is one of several directors and managers to leave Bovis following the departure of chief executive Nick Pollard last year.
Former Bovis northern operations director Peter Lenehan recently accepted a chief executive role with fitout firm Styles and Wood.
Speaking on his appointment, Jacobs said, “I’m excited by the opportunity to lead Morgan Sindall in the capital.
“London is one of the great cities of the world and despite all the challenges posed by a slow economy, it remains a desirable and secure location.
“A rich vein of development opportunities exists for organisations that can provide exceptional service to their customers and this lies at the heart of our offering.”
