Framework is part of South Lanarkshire Council’s schools modernisation programme
Morgan Sindall has been appointed to a £150m schools framework in South Lanarkshire.
Under the deal with South Lanarkshire Council, Morgan Sindall will work alongside two other firms to construct 30 primary schools over a four year period.
The framework is part of the council’s wider £850m primary schools modernisation programme which will see all 124 of the area’s primary schools rebuilt by 2016.
Morgan Sindall has already worked on earlier phases of the modernisation. It has completed nine schools through the programme so far and is currently on site with four others.
Paul Smith, chief executive of the Morgan Sindall Group, said: “This latest framework appointment is testament to the track record we have developed in the Scottish education market, where we are viewed as a trusted partner capable of delivering a quality and cost effective construction service.
“We are delighted to be appointed to the new phase of the framework and look forward to working with the Council over the next four years.”
