‘Gateway’ building will house the university’s health and social sciences department
Morgan Sindall has been appointed to desgin and build a £39m flagship building for Bournemouth University.
The building, if given planning permission, will house the university’s health and social sciences department.
Morgan Sindall was appointed to the scheme via the Southern Construction Framework.
Jim Andrews, the university’s chief operation officer, said: “This new development will help us achieve our vision of providing world-class facilities for a world-class university. If we are to continue producing the midwives, nurses and social workers of the future, then we need the facilities to attract the best.”
Jon Daines, area director at Morgan Sindall, said: “Morgan Sindall is well versed in delivering projects of this nature and scale and we look forward to close partnership working with the university and our project partners as we complete the final plans and details for the scheme.”
