Morgan Sindall's infratructure business chosen by E.ON for 10-year framework
Morgan Sindall today announced it has won a £500m deal to upgrade electricity cables across the east.
The construction group's infrastructure services division, Morgan Est, has been selected by E.ON for a 10-year framework contract covering the E.ON's Central Networks eastern region. The work will involve replacement and reinforcement of overhead lines and underground cables.
Morgan Est will also replace distribution plant and carry out remedial work, including building, civils work and inspection and maintenance of the network.
Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall, said: "We see a number of opportunities in the energy sector and our position within this market leaves us well placed to benefit from this trend."
Work will begin this month.
