Morgan Sindall company will upgrade Belfast's sewerage system in joint venture with Belfast contractor Farrans
Morgan Sindall's infrastructure services provider Morgan Est in a joint venture with Belfast-based contractor Farrans has been awarded the Stormwater Management Works contract.
The three-year, £91.8 million scheme will upgrade Belfast's sewerage system for Northern Ireland Water Service.
Under the terms of the deal, worth approximately £61.5 million to Morgan Est, the companies will design, build, test and commission a 9.4km tunnel under the city centre to the Duncrue Wastewater Treatment Works.
The contract also involves the construction of a terminal pumping station. Morgan Est is due to start work on the project this month
