Appointment is the latest step in the reforming of Lend Lease’s management team
Lend Lease has appointed a former executive director at Morgan Est to its senior construction team, in the latest step in reforming its management team.
Hugh Porter has been made head of business development for the project management and construction arm of Lend Lease in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) - the part of the business formerly known as Bovis.
Porter will be charged with identifying new sectors for the company to target, and developing strategies for greater market penetration.
Prior to his role at Morgan Est, Porter, a civil engineer, worked on major project bids and new market sectors at Carillion.
His appointment comes a week after Lend Lease announced that Michael Dyke, the former head of National Grid’s construction programme in the UK, would lead the former Bovis business. Dyke will become executive director of the project management and construction business in EMEA.
Dan Labbad, Lend Lease’s EMEA chief executive, said: “This latest appointment is part of the drive to ensure we push forward in creating solutions for our core customers and seek new opportunities to grow the business.”
