The £69m Guthrie Theatre on the banks of the Mississippi in Minneapolis contains three performance spaces, ranging from 200 seats to 1100. The exterior of the building is a composition of metal and glass that evokes the industrial history of the Mississippi waterfront and a cantilevered bridge, extending the equivalent of 12 storeys towards the river, provides views of the river valley.
