Contract is first to be awarded to Miller under Procure 21+
Miller has been awarded a £40m contract to deliver a programme of works for the South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust over the next five years.
The deal is the first contract Miller has secured through the Procure 21+ framework since winning a place on the programme last year.
Chris Webster, chief executive at Miller Construction, said: “Following a review of our strategy, we are giving major consideration to the projects where we can best fulfill the needs of the client.
“Our process means that we can give the best of our attention at all times, and has reinforced our delivery model, to deliver service-led solutions as opposed to only construction led designs.
“We are looking forward to commencing works and to securing our next programme through the framework.”
The first project at Torbay Hospital commences in September and will see the provision of a new boiler house.
Most of the works on the framework include refurbishment and mechanical jobs across its property estates.
Andrew Cartwright, director at Miller HPS, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for this five year programme of work.
“Our first class principle supply chain provides a depth of strength and the capabilities to give confidence to our client’s in both our delivery of projects and the maintenance of long term relationship.”
