ADM’s mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system has been used in a new-build development of five properties in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
The installation helps the homes comply with the Building Regulations and ensures that adequate changes of air are achieved in them.
The houses are built from reclaimed stone and their design features large windows and glazed areas. The MVHR system was chosen In an effort to avoid trickle ventilators that
might have spoiled the appearance of the timber windows. Another advantage is that it also reduces relative humidity and addresses condensation, particularly in the bathrooms
and kitchens.
The MVHR system recovers more than 90% of the heat from the outgoing stale air before feeding it back into the house as warm, fresh, filtered air.
