The public-sector contractor won 10-year partnership contracts with Octavia Housing and Care and the Old Ford Housing Association. The contract with Octavia is worth £36m while the contract with Old Ford is worth £21m. Both jobs will see Mears provide repairs and empty property services.
Mears said that this has brought its total aggregate contract awards to £400m in six months. Bob Holt, group chief executive, said: “We would not achieve these levels of contract wins without the great references that we get from our existing clients. Our order book stands at £1.7bn and the visibility of future revenues has been further enhanced.”
