Mixed-use project in East London will include over 100 apartments and a Tesco
McLaren Construction has been awarded three contracts on a £41m mixed-use scheme in Waltham Forest, East London.
The contractor will build over 100 apartments, a Tesco superstore and further retail space as part of the project.
McLaren has commenced the first resi phase of the project, which will provide social housing including 80 apartments and 14 terraced houses.
The second and third phases of the development include the construction of a 37,000 sq ft Tesco superstore, 24 private sale apartments and further business units.
McLaren managing director Phil Pringle said: “We are delighted to have been appointed on this scheme by Spenhill Regeneration Ltd. This project presents the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the development pipeline in East London and to inward investment in the region and corporately, sees us strengthening our existing experience in the mixed use and retail sectors.”
McLaren are now on site on phase one, due for completion by March 2012. The second and third phases will complete by November 2012.
