Consultant opens two new offices in Lima and Mexico City
Consultant McBains Cooper has opened two new offices in Lima, Peru and Mexico City.
Called McBains Cooper International, it will also work through associations in various locations in Brazil and Europe.
The offices will focus, in addition to property, on developing infrastructure projects within both the private and public sectors with specific view on long-term concessions contracts.
Santiago Klein has been appointed as managing director. He joins from Currie & Brown where he was director and worked with the company for seven years.
He said: Despite harsh general market conditions, Latin America is experiencing a real boom as a result of ten years of steady economic growth.
“The risks-profile for investing in certain countries in Latin America is now perceived as good as the one in some EU countries and many of its economies continue to grow rapidly.”
Michael Thirkettle, chief executive, said: “With the group’s continued success in the UK and its unique interdisciplinary model, coupled with the current market conditions, the time was right to go global,
“McBains Cooper is an ambitious company, I believe in taking calculated risks and adjusting to the market conditions. This is what brought us to Latin America.”
