Architect are aiming for high EcoHomes/BREEAM ratings on 400 unit Clayton project
Architect MBLA has unveiled these plans for over 400 new homes in Clayton, East Manchester. In total, the scheme will include 211 houses and 196 apartments.
The centrepiece of the development will be an eco park, which will include a wildflower meadow and hawthorn, holly and willow hedgerow. There will also be a community centre and a children’s play area. The houses are aiming to attain an EcoHomes/BREEAM rating of 'very good' and the apartment block should gain an 'excellent' rating, the architect said.
Client for the development is urban regeneration company new east Manchester with housing developer New City Vision. Work is due to start on phase one in the Autumn.
