Balfour Beatty subsidiary will start work in October on part of Hackney’s £220m Decent Homes contract

Balfour Beatty subsidiary Mansell has won a £73m share of Hackney’s Decent Homes contract to improve social housing stock in the borough.

The contractor said it would begin work in October this year, and would also manage the specialist supply chain with the borough’s housing provider, Hackney Homes.

The contract is worth £220m in total across three contractors.

Balfour Beatty Chief Executive, Ian Tyler, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to this framework and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with Hackney Homes and the local community to deliver improved housing for residents.”
