Alan Ball's duties to be taken over by group chief executive

Building materials distributor BSS Group has announced that its managing director, Alan Ball, has left the group.

Ball's responsibilities will be taken on by Gavin Slark, BSS' group chief executive, until further notice. Ball has left the company after four years to “pursue other interests”.

BSS reported in a pre-close trading update on 25 September 2009 that it is well positioned to meet the challenges of a changing marketplace.
