Atkins has won a competition to design a container port in eastern China.

It will have a manufacturing zone, business, research and design districts and leisure facilities. An eco-residential area also forms part of the development. The port on Meishan Island, 25km north-east of Ningbo, is expected to grow into one of the country’s most important.
