Firm plans to build on Taj Halab contract win with recruitment drive
Mace has secured a 186,000m² mixed-use scheme in Syria and announced a recruitment drive in the area.
The firm said it had won the Bena Properties contract to project manage the Taj Halab, an entertainment and business centre in Aleppo.
The scheme involves the refurbishment of seven buildings dating back to 1920 plus two new hotels, a shopping mall, office building, restaurants and a plaza for exhibitions and events. The scheme is due for completion in 2013.
Mace-Syria general manager Khalid Madbouli said: “Mace is now fully established and registered in Syria with an expanding number of managers and support staff and is poised to respond to the growing needs of this market. We are now embarking on a recruitment drive in Syria to complement our expatriate staff in Syria.”
