Now in its fifth year BSEC is a two-day event that provides a unique forum for all those at the forefront of school rebuilding initiatives, from policy makers to suppliers.

After a record breaking year for BSEC09, with more than 5,000 attendees and 270 exhibitors all gathering under one roof at Manchester Central, the event simply outgrew its venue.

Highlights at the conference will be the panel discussion of the future of capital spend programmes, which will include Tim Byles, chief executive, Partnerships for Schools and Barry Sheerman MP, chairman of the children, schools and families select committee.

Other guest speakers include film producer and educational philanthropist Lord Puttnam, Cabe chair Paul Finch, BDP chairman Tony McGuirk and Baroness Morris of Yardley, former secretary of state for education.

There will also be seminars of sustainability, the primary capital programme, academies and learning from schools in Denmark.
