On the eve of the Thames Gateway Forum, Building is hosting a live online debate on the state of the housing market
Volatility in the housing market is having a big impact on the construction industry as well as the wider economy. So, on the eve of the Thames Gateway Forum, Building is inviting its readers to share their views on the big issues in a live online debate.
Is the recent rise in house prices in the south-east set to continue? Or are we in for a ‘double-dip’ recession? How are housebuilders reacting to the market? When will the banks start to increase mortgage lending? And what is likely to happen to number of homes being built over the next few years?
We will have a panel of housing experts ready to debate the issues and to answer your questions. Our panel includes Richard Jones, head of residential and regeneration at EC Harris, Andrew Pratt, managing director of residential at Granger, and Joey Gardiner, news editor at Building magazine.
The debate will take place at 12.30pm on Monday, 2 November.
