Speakers confirmed for two free online seminars in July on the cost of the code and EPCs to take place at the Sustainability Now show
Six speakers have been confirmed to take part in two online seminars that will take place in early July at the Sustainability Now show. The webinars will focus on the cost of the Code for Sustainable Homes and surviving Energy Perfromance Certificates (EPCs) and will form part of the Sustainability Now virtual conference which takes place on 1 and 2 July.
The line-up for the Code seminar, on 1 July, is: Adam Mactavish, associate director, Cyril Sweett; Alan Shingler, head of sustainability, Sheppard Robson; and Colin Mitchell, divisional director, Osborne.
The line-up for the EPC webinar, on 2 July, is: Brian Scannell, managing director NES; Martin Stephens environment director PRUPIM; and Roger Watts, director, Trident Building Consultancy.
The first webinar will explore the challenge of juggling the challenge of hitting ambitious sustainable standards in the Code with practical issues of design, construction and hitting budgets.
The second will tackle three key questions related to EPCs: are they working technically and practically? How is the industry coping with them? What will the long term influence of EPCs be?
