Australian contractor would consider taking over Multiplex if the price was right says chief executive

The chief executive of Australian contractor Leighton Holdings has said the company would be interested in buying Multiplex if the price was right.

Wal King was responding to questions from journalists following Multiplex’s admission that it has been approached about takeover talks.

He told reporters: "There's a lot of speculation about Multiplex. We would consider it at the right price."
