Two teams are still in the frame for the £236m Building Schools for the Future project.

Leicester City Council has underlined that its £236m Building Schools for the Future project has not yet been awarded despite the report in this week's Building stating that Atkins was set to win the contract to build four schools. The council is currently negotiating with two teams and will be announcing the result in due course.

The first team bidding for the project is the Inspired Spaces Consortium, led by Carillion and featuring a design team consisting of Atkins and SMC Alsop. The second consortium is led by the Miller group and includes Aedas and ADP.
