Architect will design four accommodation blocks for global education movement college in Wales.
Latitude architects has won a competition to design student accommodation at Atlantic College, Wales. It beat five other practices on a RIBA shortlist including Buschow Henley, Livesey O’Malley Architects, and Maccreanor Lavington.
The architect had to design four blocks each housing 40 students at the college which is one of ten United World Colleges.
Roger Hawkins, RIBA advisor and chair of the judges said: “Latitude gave a responsive solution which offered views from all bedrooms and balanced privacy with a requirement for openess to promote interaction between block.”
United World Colleges is an global education movement, which aims to bring together students from all over the world at pre-university level.
