Moya McGregor of County Durham firm Coupe Construction has become the first woman to be elected to the management board of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (North-east) since its formation 15 years ago.
Specialists
Matthew Clay has been appointed new managing director for Hanson Formpave. Clay has been part of the specialist firm for six years, most recently in the role of IT director.
Gerry Feenan will be supporting Clay in his new role as commercial director of Design Solutions.
Consultants
Carbon reduction company Sustain has hired Matt Fulford as its head of buildings. Fulford previously headed the sustainability division at EC Harris. In his new role he will manage a 10-strong team to deliver carbon savings for the building industry.
Contractors
Kier North East has made three appointments to its Hebburn office. Graham Wilcock has been appointed regional construction manager; Ian Tweedy has joined as managing estimator; and Janine Danneker has been recruited as business development manager.
