Interserve has bagged a £37.5m three-year facilities management deal with Land Securities.
The firm will provide a range of services, including security, cleaning, customer service support and waste management, across eight of Land Securities’ shopping centres.
Next year the developer’s new shopping centre Westgate (picutred) in Oxford will be added to the account.
Under the three-year deal, 560 employees will transfer to Interserve from previous suppliers as part of the new account.
Interserve chief executive Adrian Ringrose said: “The customer experience is a critical part of the retail offering and we will work with Land Securities to create the best possible experience for visitors and employees at their centres.”
Joanna Waterman, head of consumer experience at Land Securities, said: “When looking for a new support services provider, we needed a firm who would not only be able to manage the cleaning and maintenance of our shopping centres, but also share our focus on delivering an excellent overall consumer experience across our portfolio.”
Interserve already manages services at over 60 shopping centres in the UK, Spain and the Middle East.
